Mike is not one who acts on emotion. He's a survivor. He took care of his guys because they did good work but mostly so they wouldn't talk. He did murder one of them without batting an eye if you recall. He knew they were gonna flip which is why he was leaving. He knew Walt would kill his guys and while he may not have liked it he knew he couldn't stop it. His priority is his granddaughter and he wouldn't risk anything that might affect her even if it meant letting his crew die. This is a moot point anyway since Walt didn't even consider any of that. He didn't kill Mike because he was a threat (though he might say he did as a justification). He did it simply because Mike wounded his pride. Which really proves Mike completely correct.

They took all of Kaylee's money Rana πŸ˜ͺ

Hey guys, quick question - will you be adding only one episode a week now or...?

Jakub

I can't believe you assholes yelled for Pop Pop to abandon his granddaughter at the park lol

Eric H

Great reaction!!!!

KP

Tbh Walt totally needed to do that. He'd have avenged his 9 guys. It's a better guarantee for Walt than anything. Spoilers-.. Jesse also points that out on the next episode or so. And I don't think it was a heat of the moment decision, he had took out the gun, he planned tying a loose end before even going. Pop pop's dismissive attitude towards Walt's "achievements" didn't help either but this route where Mike dies was dedinitely amongsts th scenarios he planned in his mind

SinancoTheBest

Knew that was gonna be a hard one. It also makes me excited for the Breaking Normies to start Better Call Saul!

Oof generational difference. When I hear say my name Bebe Rexha's one comes to my mind. And when it plays in the radio I always imagine walt singing it, in his voice. My favorite episode coming next week, yayy

SinancoTheBest

And The Shield but first Better Call Saul of course.

Once Breaking Bad is done, this crew right here needs to be up on "The Wire". I need Hannah asking "Where's Wallace at? Huh, String?! Where's Wallace at?!"

Eric H

Sir, this is a Wendy's.

I usually have a lot of thoughts on these milestone episodes, but right off the bat, I gotta address the reaction itself. Rana, in my opinion, has toned down a lot of her commentary on the obvious these last two seasons, but she still has this tendency to talk over THE MOST MOMENTOUS DIALOGUE or crucial dramatic scenes that is infuriating. She absolutely ruined that insane exchange between Hank and the twins in season three, and, seriously, paying and waiting for all of your reactions to Walt's monologue, to hear her mutter over "You're goddamn right," I mean, at some point, please Normies, hear this as advice, not disrespect - LEARN the difference between REACTION and being compelled to shout out your inner thoughts every 45 seconds! We all LOVE watching you guys do the former. And Nahid... what? If you were trying to be funny, OK, but as you usually try to convey your opinions without humor, I think you were serious when you said killing Mike was THE ONE thing Walt did that you feel wasn't justified. Really? I mean, before he was guaranteed any type of staying power in the drug game, when he lets Jane slip, THAT was acceptable? Or poisoning Brock? (Despite that bit of conversation about knowing exactly how much to give, nothing is a certainty) Or how about, prefacing all, after cleaning up the murders and deals from the first episode, still choosing to pursue that life after you were offered a way out via Gretchen and Elliott. I get the pride factor, I surely do. But, in real life, any of you in that situation, aside from those with Nobel-deserving knowledge of any of the physical sciences, would you choose to pass up on lifetime financial assistance for your cancer treatment because of a financial/romantic fiasco in the past? If so, priorities seriously need to be reassessed!

Lol Beyonce ain't got shit on Heisenberg

You're sort of right, Mike was speaking primarily from his own point-of-view. But, at one point, that included Walt - he just wanted him to give up on an, at that point, junkie Jesse. (Also, talking about a TV show here - real life: never give up on people, we all have our demons) But without killing those dealers, Walt wouldn't have been on the hook for anything, and had business went forward, Walt and Mike would have been setting up playdates between Holly and Kaylee.

I felt sad too Rana, I almost cried thug tears when I first saw this

Sending Raina a BIG hug! πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ’›

RIP, Pop Pop. :(

Michael

Rana: β€œhow many more people have to die because of you Walt” Hold that thought.......

Mat

One of the most beautiful shots of the whole show is that wide shot of Mike and Walt in the corner, sun reflecting on that creek, the red New Mexico soil, the tall grass, the sounds of chirping. No music. Mike died looking at that gorgeous view, and actually got Walt to shut the fuck up so he could enjoy it.

Jarrod Wild

Just like when the series was on air, the week between these episodes are going to become the truest definition of hell on earth.

BoundTo

Mike was not right btw, "we had a good thing going on". At the first Gus wanted to get rid of Jesse, then he wanted to get rid of Walt, so good for Mike maybe, but definitley not good for Walt and Jesse.

Damn you beat me to it
