He's not feeling the nine-tails fox's power, there's just something in him that recognizes the similarity between him and Gaara and knows he has to beat him (rejecting his philosophy on life) and refuses to lose

Fun fact the finger that yashamaru got a cut on that has a bandage around it is the ring finger and there is a vein that leads from that finger directly to the heart , symbolizing the wound in his heart that never healed when his sister died. There’s no need to skip the op next week, I just went and watched it, and it really doesn’t have any spoilers, they’ve watched other Naruto OPs that have actual spoilers and this really isn’t one of them. You guys are thinking of the SECOND version of this OP, which actually shows spoilers. And we don’t get that version until after they show certain things in the show. So we’re all clear for the OP next week. That being said, once we get to shippuden, ohhhh boy.

The thing with the mentors of Naruto and Gaara isn't that they're all one way. Iruka had conflicting feelings of love and hate for Naruto, but he didn't let his hate win over and decided to love. Gaara's mentor had the same feelings but choose hate instead.

I know some say they aren’t THAT big. But I feel within 3 episodes you guys will pick up on stuff and the big reveals we enjoyed won’t be as “oh shit” to them
