2019-08-31 09:08:14 +0000 UTCQuick correction: those are roman numerals and not Arabic numbers so it would be Ramses the *Second* The description you read touched on it a little bit but just to emphasize it a bit more, the statue and plaque tell of a king so mighty (king of kings) with great works stretching for miles, there mere sight of which would inspire dread and awe in any who beheld them. Essentially godlike even. And yet, by the time the travelers comes across the statue, NOTHING beside remains. He may have been a god in his time, but even his vast glory was for nothing. Time destroyed it all and in the end it was all forgotten.
