I had the same reaction when this first aired Pat did to the "NO!" scream Aida let out after Fitz told her he loves Simmons. A big huge laugh! It STILL has me dying. Not because it was terrible, but because it was THAT GOOD. Like Aida THOUGHT!

It was a neat little revelation for both Fitz and Daisy however so they got a better understanding of Ward. Moreso with this season and the framework Ward showing how he could have been a good guy if he hadn't been influenced by Garrett. True they're not as bad as him but now they know in the right setting anyone could be corrupted.

ok i'm back to try again with my comment hoping it doesn't get deleted or not posted or whatever happened but i wanted to talk about that fitz/ward/daisy parallel bc it's one of my favorite little pieces of writing on aos. fitz and daisy were both brainwashed in a sense and made to do horrible things. daisy in s3 with the hive sway and fitz here in s4 with his life being reprogrammed by a crazy robot lady. both of them compared themselves to ward when they came out of it and both of them immediately took responsibility for their actions and felt guilt. that right there is why neither is like ward!! not once do either of them blame their actions on anyone else even tho they have every right to. who blamed all his actions on everyone else? ward. fitz and daisy are very similar at their core. probably why they're my faves. ANYWAYS i've always loved that parallel a lot and wanted to gush about it some more lol.

i said this in my comment that ended up not posting for some reason but i appreciate that the show put in that line where fitz was like "so you can imagine how your actions can be perceived" and the weighted pause and how uncomfortable and disgusted he was when she talked about them being intimate. i thought iain played it very well, i felt sick for fitz too. there was no consent in that relationship and it absolutely can be read as rape idk why that's such a hard concept for people to grasp bc it's not subtle. he never gave his consent. real fitz never did anyways and that's the fitz that matters.

Aida's complete meltdown on Fitz - or more specifically, the second she realises he means Jemma and not her - was probably the most horrifying moment of TV that year. Props to Mallory Janson for pulling a Maslany and so perfectly portraying so many different iterations of the same character.

Pat wanting Fitz to pick Aida over Jemma just cause she hot is laughable... Its like you havent been watching this show for 4 seasons. Of course, hes going to pick Jemma, hes loved her one way or another since he was 16 and never once did he want to be with Aida until he was forced to. It was never really a choice.
