The reason why Zeke isn't affected by the vow of renoucing war is because that vow exists within the Founding Titan, if you're royal blood + have the founding titan, it affects you. But Zeke and Eren are separate people, so while Zeke is the one that Ymir recognizes as her master because of his royal blood Eren who only has the Founding Titan is basically just a key.

The kanji literally translates to "older brother and younger brother", which doesn't roll off the tongue as easily as "two brothers". There's always going to be a conflict between literal translation vs interpreting succinctly while still close enough to get the point across.

Yup professor nailed it in the head. The colossal titan is only really useful for massive destruction, for when you just need to level the battle field. He would be useless and a liability in a situation that requires finesse. The best he could’ve contributed was as a looming distraction.

The first time Zeke entered the Spirit realm he didn’t have contact with the power of the founding titan that is why there was no chain and he wasn’t affected by the vow. But when he entered with Eren the vow chained him up. But he entered first and was able to figure out how to undo the vow… somehow.

I utterly loved the new version of the OST "Zeke's Plan" that they used for the scene where Zeke screams and everyone who drank his spinal fluid transforms. The use of the bagpipes in that scene worked surprisingly well, it was just so powerful.

@Firefx, Even if he could do that (which I wouldn't assume, because when Bertholdt did that he only manifested the upper half of the colossal titan's body), what would be the point? I mean, the most significant advantage of the colossal titan's body is the fact that the transformation triggers such a massive explosion and accompanying shockwave. Let's say that Armin managed to transform and minimize the power of the transformation such that it didn't inflict massive damage on those in his immediate surroundings. Then what? The colossal titan is a big and slow target that Pieck can easily shoot down. He'd be at a major disadvantage.

Legitimately curious. Can't the colossal transform without the huge "bomb" effect? Bertolt did it during the big reveal in S2 and it just caused a shockwave, no massive explosion.

They cant show the image on uncuts because that would be a "market substitute" and their channel could be terminated because of copyrights, so you have to synch your own copy with theirs, just watch on another monitor or another tab on pc (like I do)
