Overall I think I could do it as I live fairly isolationist as is, but obviously that's just right now. the biggest deciding factors are ageing and really society. Definitely wouldn't want to be immortal with alzheimers and arthritis or some type of degenerating disease, and I'm jaded by comforts of society (but of course I've got all the time in the world to learn to not be like that).

2022-07-20 22:46:18 +0000 UTCI'd love to be immortal in any world. The crisis of life, and the fact that I WILL die someday is a constant driver and a constant poison to me. It makes me work harder and achieve more, but because I don't want to look back on myself as a failure when I'm going to die and that I believe is a big part of my current mental issues that I was dealing with for the past few years. If I could remove that, I would have new problems but it wont be existentialism. Plus if I was immortal I could do, and learn everything that I have ever wanted to do. Live 1000 lives and not worry about fucking up. There is no end for my potential. Hopefully eternal youth is lumped into immortality or it will suck.

I believe in reincarnation, and that it is meant for us to live, die, and repeat over hundreds or thousands of lifetimes in order for our souls to grow and develop into something more. Immortality would only stunt that process, and unless you want to live as a Diety, there's truly no purpose in it at all.

And the concept of the heart and soul is so strong in that universe that the dead wouldn't feel so far away. Idk, that, or star wars. Then you could just learn the force and kick it with force ghosts all the time lol
