Season 6 was actually being worked on up until the Cartoon Network cancellation in 2013. They only finished 13 of the planned 22 episodes, and those finished episodes weren't aired in the US until a licensing agreement was reached with Disney, and Netflix released them in 2014 as "The Lost Missions." Season 7 was the one that got announced in 2018 (released in 2020) due to fan demand.

It was distrobuted by warner bros and s1 to s5 was released on cartoon network. Then ot got cancelled when Disney bought lucasfilm. Due to so much demand Season 6 and 7 were produced in 2019 to 2020.
