Do you think mainline Final Fantasy games will ever return to blank slate characters like in 1 and 3? The Comrades expansion for 15 has a very detailed character creator and I can't help but wonder if this is being developed for FF16. Even if the character isn't a blank slate, do you think Square would ever allow the player to make custom avatars like in Mass Effect with Commander Shepard? Or do you think mainline, non-MMO Final Fantasies will always require a "mascot" main character like Cloud, Lightning and the rest?
