Podcast questions for Pelvic Gaming!

That's cool. I didn't know if it was skipped on purpose or if it just got lost in the shuffle thanks!

Since you've asked this one a couple of weeks in a row, I feel I should give you an answer here. We've talked about this a little bit on the podcast sometime last year. We don't believe that Star Wars worlds will make an appearance in Kingdom Hearts III, largely because of Disney's partnership with EA, but it would have been really cool to have Star Wars in Kingdom Hearts for sure!

Saw Pelvic Gaming's Channel btw, subscribed. Noticed she tried FFX when she was younger, but didn't dig it as much as I do (shame), but adored FF9 and FF6 (redeemed). Now the only question that needs to be asked... Do you go to Chrono Trigger from here, or FF7? Why does life have to be so complicated?

What are your thoughts on the possibility of Star Wars and Marvel worlds being included in Kingdom Hearts III? While its a long shot, the inclusion of Tron and Pirates worlds in previous entries makes me think it's not so far fetched. I think Disney would also really like to push these properties wherever possibly and KH3 seems like as good a place as any. Would you be in favor of this or against? Are they "not Disney" enough? Personally, I think a lightsaber-keyblade would be pretty sweet. Sora fighting alongside the Avengers in the battle of New York would also be pretty mind blowing, just my two cents.

Ever since watching Casen’s latest Dark History episode, I’ve been conflicted about what I would do if I found out one of my favorite games was created by employees suffering under such cruel treatment. On one hand, I could reason that it would be a shame not to appreciate a piece of artwork that required such sacrifice to create, but on the other hand, artwork is about self-expression.. and if someone is literally locked in a room and not allowed to see their family for months on end until a product is complete…. That doesn’t feel like artwork anymore, it seems more like torture. Especially when many of these people died on the job from exhaustion, or in one case, literally went blind. What are your opinions in regards to being an ethical consumer of games? Should gamers be more aware of the circumstances involved to make some of these games, and would you be able to still play, or enjoy one of your favorite games, if you found out it had a dark history? Or, would you simply stop playing the game entirely in protest, despite it being one of your favorites?

Just glancing over Pelvic's channel she mentioned how Xenoblade Chronicles came out in North America because of fan demand. I know Mike mentioned being a part of this campaign. So this should be a good talking point.

What JRPG has your favorite cast of characters (both playable and nonplayable)?

Hi guys! I have 2 questions that goes hand on hand with each other: I think that something that has surprised me the most in the past few years of the gaming industry has been how much companies have seen to be more open for contact with the gaming community, and, while I think it’s not perfect, we have Nintendo that every once in a while releases their Nintendo Direct and so on, so we can have multiple updates on projects outside of the events schedules. But after the Chrono Trigger release on steam, I can’t help but to think that the communication is still too unilateral… Do you think that there is a way that we as consumers can have a legitimate channel which we can have our voices reach them? And your thoughts on how can this be implemented in a responsible and efficient way?

Another hall of fame question right here! Going in for sure!

Hypothetical situation/question: You are a college professor teaching a brand-new course called “JRPG History 101”. You need to pick 5 JRPG’s to serve as the main curriculum to cover during the semester. Assuming this class is being taught to beginner level students who are not familiar with RPG’s in general, which 5 games would you pick and why? Some Criteria Ideas: Would you try to include at least one game from each console generation? Would you try to include a game of each sub-genre (Action and Strategy)? Would you try to include games from as many different developers? Would you include a bad game for the sake of study/comparison with the others? How much would popularity and critical acclaim factor into the games you choose?
