Not a particularly serious Question for you but if you’re short on questions then here’s one that would be interesting for me... Why do a lot of people “hate” on/dislike characters that are a bit brash? My personal example is Zell from FF8 - always my favourite character because as a kid I thought he was cool, but I noticed that he and characters like Snow get a fair bit of stick for being quite loud / brash? I can’t think of any other examples at the mo, but I just love Zell & wanna know why so many people don’t 😅😂

This is a great question but I can't think of anything at the moment :/

Resonant Arc

Have you ever read a book (or film, game or media in general) that in retrospect you felt that you were too young or didn't have the context to appreciate? If so, how did you your opinion on it evolve over time?

When you do think 4th wall breaking or self awareness has been used in a clever manner and times it has not? I have noticed in many indie games I have been playing recently tend to be self aware of story tropes and gameplay tropes where a lot of times I feel like they are more busy talking to us when the story isn't structured to do so. I have been loving these blast from the past indie games, but they tend to want to play the self aware card too much recently.

So for many years now, I'm starting to realize that I'm becoming a "dialog skipper" in games - something that, as a kid, I would've held in absolute contempt. I always talked to every villager in every SNES JRPG, read every manual, etc. But with modern games, I feel a lot less patience for introductory narratives, cut scenes, FF13-style blocks of text, and lengthy, droning dialog passages that don't seem to go anywhere. Have you ever felt something similar? Have you noticed a shift away from concise, get-to-the-point storytelling now that games aren't restricted to small blocks of memory? Is this a response to consumer demand for more depth, a case of developer laziness, or the unfortunate by-product of a game-dev culture that doesn't prioritize script writing? Or am I just getting impatient in my old age? :P

With the recent announcement of the ps1 classic, which im sure u guys talked about, and the ff ports coming to switch, what do you think is the best way to play the final fantasy series?
