2023-05-11 05:40:48 +0000 UTCThere’s a lot of comments so I’m assuming this has been stated but just in case: Earth has more than just two Lanterns. Even in this show. In the show they’ve shown us (so far) Guy Gardner, Hal Jordan, and John Stewart. As with police, commonly it’s two per a sector of space or a “beat” as the old cop shows would say. Earth, however, attracts more problems than most of the Galaxy and needs more policing. I believe in the comics there are no less than eight earth born green lanterns.

Perhaps a bit unfair, as the execution, writing, etc. of the episode isn't that bad; it even has some great comedic moments. But the "message" of the episode is so ugly and reactionary that it just can't rise above it.

While Cordelia and Xander fell apart after Willow and Xander cheated, Willow and Oz fought through it and survived. While Buffy and Angel fell apart, Willow and Oz survived. They are such a stable couple at the beginning of this episode! I feel like it makes their destruction all the more heartbreaking...we didn’t see it coming at all!

In "Superman: The Animated Series" and the Justice League cartoon series Superman always has a space suit or breathing mask in space, and that seems to be the case in Young Justice too. However, other comics and animated movies and DC movies show Superman fine in space without a spacesuit, so the lore is inconsistent. In Young Justice the writers are implying he needs an air mask in space. But yeah, the comic lore on this is stupidly all over the place.

I don’t know the reason for Seth leaving but I do wish they had done more with him. Having a character that’s a werewolf could have been really cool if they had devoted actual time into his arc.

Last episode Chris mentioned Buffy's stunt double by name (Sophia Crawford). This will be her last season as the stunt double. I remember fan controversy about her (alleged?) comment "I'm the real Buffy". However, apparently, Whedon told Crawford to end her relationship with Jeff Pruitt (the show's stunt coordinator for the first four seasons). Crawford and Pruitt both left the show after season 4, and I believe they are now married.

2023-05-04 17:53:03 +0000 UTCSo Chris is correct the Green Lantern Corps is a Galaxy police Force at each Green Lantern gets a sector of the universe that they protect Earth has multiple Green Lanterns to name a few Hal Jordan, Jon Stewart, Kyle Rayner, Simon Baz, Guy Gardner, Jessica Cruz and Alan Scott. There are also multiple different cores besides the Green Lanterns the Green Lantern core is powered by willpower and only people with the strongest amount of willpower will be chosen by the ring. Each corps has a different energy source there is the fear corps for the yellow lanterns, the love corps for the Violet lanterns, the rage corps for the Red Lanterns, Blue corps for hope Lanterns, In Indigo for the compassion Lanterns, and the Orange corps for the greed Lanterns. I know that's a whole lot in one message sorry.

This episode displayed numerous things: m’gann’s power mind, their strong connection to Artemis even though she is the newest team member, and their dedication to protecting people by not giving up and sacrificing themselves. Also, I really hope you guys watched the next episode in the same sitting as this one because it shows them dealing with the aftermath of experiencing that training.

Honestly I think it is brilliant in how it uses the *dream/training* scenario to delve deeper into the characters of the team, and let you see how each of these characters would act in a doomsday scenario, and most importantly, with how it felt *real* to them, this episode is maybe the most important season 1 episode, as it develops all six of our lead characters, all of them get character development, and this experience changes them all and pushes them along their character arcs.
