Max Illustration PSD + Process Video (12h) - Concept more than Visual

Hey guys,

I hope you're doing great! The PSD file and the 12h and a half process video of the Max illustration are now available. The original time was 12:30, but I sped it up to meet YouTube's requirements.

The process at the beginning was a bit messy. I spent too much time on the face since I don't usually draw male characters, but it eventually worked out! I spent two days on this piece - the whole first day on just drawing, trying to push some interesting ideas. After giving it a rest, I was able to add new layers on top the second day.

I tried to take the main reference (kiwi) in unexpected directions, but aside from that, I like to think of very random topics to integrate into the story so people can spend a couple of minutes just looking at concept details and not just the quality of the technique/render.

The fictional formula is one example: T = (D² × W) / Kₑ₉

T represents time travel.
D represents the distance between the start and drop-off points.
W represents the wormhole effect, which could be a constant value.
Kₑ₉ is a constant representing the presence of a dog nearby (Kₑ₉ stands for "K9" or "canine").

I believe we don't just make pretty pictures; we create stuff. The deeper and more meaningful this creation is, the more real it will feel. By adding these layers, your characters or concepts will have not just colorful details but sparks from yourself, your style.
