Dive Deep into 'Bird Portraits' Process Videos and Files!

Hey Everyone! In this post, you will find the process video and file of the bird portraits! This was a fun and frustrating experience. Frustration often surfaces when I draw, but I'm used to it since it's just part of the process. Offering some uniqueness to you is what brings meaning to me, not just creating pictures but interesting ideas and iterations of the real world.

If you read the posts from last week, you'll notice that I'm currently using a "formula" for my latest pieces. This is not my only formula since I'm always changing, but it is an interesting way to push unique concepts out of simple items and cover several composition points in your character design structure to create a dynamic balance.

What you may not know about this process is that I initially planned to make 8 portraits instead of 4. I sketched all 8, but only refined 4. So, you will be able to see the process of creating the other 4 portraits in the video!

A significant part of my popularity as an artist on social media is thanks to portraits. People love to see faces, especially if they are expressive. Here you will get the best insights on how to achieve expressiveness, but not only that, you will also learn to design unique characteristics for each character to enhance their expressiveness and build upon your original ideas.

Lately, my goal is to improve my production output. I feel limited because I push myself to perfect one or two pieces, but in doing so, I neglect my practice, making myself slower. I want to improve my speed without compromising quality, so I'll give priority to quantity (more sketches) for at least 4 hours per day, and use the other 4 hours to focus on one piece. You will understand this better in the next post. I've done around 40 sketches in the last few days but I'll probably only share the best 6, hopefully more.
