She knew she had little alternative, and there was no turning back now, even if she wanted. It was too late to ask for help from anyone, even Endou. The weight-belt dragged her deeper into the depths of the pool, heavy enough to keep her grounded on a full breath, but proved to be a liability when surfacing... If she even remembers to take it off.
"I need to remember to breathe." A mantra that she played in her head over and over. A weakness she had no choice but to acknowledge fully.
It was crucial for her to remember this. There was no Endou or Saori to save her when she forgets, and no one around to possibly jump in after her, and that means all her work for the event would go down the drain... Literally.
Her heart pounded in her chest, and her grip on her notepad tightened as she sunk to the pool floor, hoping she would get the inspiration she needs, otherwise... The club members would find her at the bottom of the pool instead.
