I have a small request: could the gamers on the couch save the "this was different in the game" comments for the discussion? Especially when the thing that was different was part of an emotional moment. Thanks.

Fantastic reactions and an even better discussion! It'll be interesting to see the different arguments from everyone on the couch this season since there's a clear even split of teams: Logic Side: Chris, Mickey, and Spidey Emotional Side: Marketa, Suraj, and Rana

Mmm mm m One of the few times a creator made a character so good that, in a show where losing people is constant, people went “YO WHAT WE LOST HIM?!?”

you play as abby before she goes golfing but you play as ellie for a solid like 12-15 hours before switching back to abby.

Meh team Abby honestly. Joel definitely had it coming 😬😬🏌️‍♀️let his own attachment issues cause directly the death of 19 people, and indirectly so many more by preventing a cure Ellie woulda died for. Kinda gives fake father papa vibes from Stranger Things

I love Abby and I’m here to show my love for her and that she not a hated character. This episode was great because it show the consequences of Joel action. His direct action in what happen with Abby getting revenge and his long term action in that the infect attack the village and killed people which would have never happened if he let the fire flies get the cure.

Even though I understand why Joel did what he did (and it wasn’t the consent thing because that convo isn’t mentioned anywhere in the games) I can never stand by what he did because he didn’t even stand by it. He lied to Ellie about it for years, knowing that she would hate his choice. He did it for himself and that’s what makes me say he had it coming. He didn’t care about the science or what Ellie thought, he just didn’t want to lose another daughter

I love Abby being a beast, shit was the best when you played as her it was like playing as Joel in the first game. She was just brolic whooping ass handing out the two piece combo with the biscuit to anyone who stepped to her.

Last comment i swear XD I think one thing Marketta is missing is that Joel officially doomed the world to the cordyceps. Like every single person who got infected since Joel pulled ellie out of the hospital is his fault. Their blood is on his hands. Yes, we love Joel and we love Pedro, but Joel was objectively wrong. He ended all hope for the entire human race. Also the argument that Ellie didn't get a choice falls by the wayside for two reasons. Reason 1: Ellie was 14 and 14 year olds cannot make informed consent about anything. Reason 2: Sorry, but if it is one child vs. literally the entirety of the human race, you don't get a choice. Let's say for the sake of conversation that they gave Ellie a choice and she said no. That would be a WILDLY selfish decision. She would be dooming the entire human race. Every single person who could have been saved would not have the option to be. Dont those people's lives matter? Don't you think they would choose to not be infected, go crazy, and murder people? I'm sorry, but you do not leave that decision in the hands of a child.

Bruh if I find the person who killed my momma or daddy you best believe that I'm going to relish and spit out 100% what's on my mind while I beat yo ass 😅😅. As a gamer joel had to pay up no ways around it, he made a grave mistake, he never got over the loss of his daughter so he couldn't bring himself to wake ellie up and ask her what she wanted to do cuz he knew ellie would have chosen to sacrifice herself because why wouldn't you in this world. I will also add that what the therapist said to tommy sums up this entire season perfectly, there are some you just can't save, ellie has Joel's violent nature in her and she's on a self destructive path and as you will see she will have a lot of opportunities to turn back around and forget it, to accept that abbys revenge was more than justified but she won't. This whole thing reminds me of like a Greek tragedy imo, amazing writing hopefully they stick that landing next season 👌
