2025-04-20 00:34:05 +0000 UTCC'mon normies, I challenge you.....there's a pilot for the Buffy Animated Series and the original pilot for Buffy with a different Willow, both eps are only 20 mins long and a fun watch. There's also both video games which are also really good. Most of the cast comes back for the animated series and video games except for Gellar. The Buffy revival isn't just in SMG's head, Hulu is getting ready to shoot the pilot w/Chloe Zhao directing and Nora and Lilla Zuckerman writing the scripts. The comics may or may not be canon but nothing is for sure yet.

2025-04-18 19:37:40 +0000 UTCIn 2004 executive producer David Fury said that the original plan was for Dawn to be in the episode, but Michelle Trachtenberg wasn't available at the time. Dawn was supposed to be decked out in sexy eveningwear, leaving to go out clubbing when the "people change" line is delivered (Angel and Spike were meant to be taken aback by this, since they both still thought of her as a child). So they substituted Tom Lenk for Michelle, and Andrew's two dates were supposed to be a man and a woman (hinting at his bisexuality). But there was miscommunication between Joss Whedon and director David Greenwalt about casting for Andrew's dates, and two women were cast instead. Whedon was heavily involved in the production of the Firefly movie at this point, and he didn't have time to properly focus on Angel.

Some people think it’s really funny and a great Spike/Angel buddy cop type story and some think that this close to the finale that it’s a waste where not much happens in the end and are disappointed that we don’t actually see Buffy. I’m personally in the love it camp. I think it’s hilarious and just fun to watch spike and angle bickering. It does suffer from its placement a little bit but I think that so much heavy stuff was happening and then after this is the two part finale, so this is a fun palette cleanser.
