Remember that time Jinwoo got Deus Ex Machina saved by being transported to the "you didn't do your pushups" dimension? 🤣 Thats...uh...some solid writing there...

#SundayRundown “Arise” is the most iconic word in the series, so on the day the sub version of this episode originally aired, people were upset because the JP VA did not say “Arise” in english, and said “Okiru” in japanese instead. So a lot of people were sending DMs to Aleks Le basically among the lines of “You better get it right and make it sound cool, or else!” So he ended up making a hilarious skit about this scene that now has millions of views. It’s really short, check it out: https://youtube.com/shorts/KygJ6E0Z-co?si=_53bGd-YHxRz8nZZ Edit: Another cool detail about the “Arise” scene is that it was actually Aleks Le’s idea to add a “shadowy whispering” SFX to the Igris as he arised him. This SFX is not present in the Sub. The studio liked that idea so much so that they used that same SFX in Season 2 for the Japanese version! Aleks Le also wrote the speech that Jinwoo says to Igris before he successfully arises him.

The moment Jinwoo arises Igris that's when I felt his powers are officially broken. This show now turn into Pokémon, got to catch them all.

#SundayRundown This was the moment Jinwoo officially became OP. Necromancy as a skill is way too overpowered, especially in a world where other people literally cannot improve. Jinwoo is now walking around with his own personal army on command. Basically, what if the Pentagon was a person? That's Jinwoo now. Season 1 is the build-up, but we're really getting into the story now. Jinwoo isn't a scrub anymore. The initial training arc is over, he's ready to get in the fight now, and worst of all... The system knows it. The Shadow Monarch has been crowned, and the world isn't ready. 👑 Also season 2 is going to be DANGEROUS. The girls are actually going to melt from S2 Jinwoo's sexiness. The couch is just going to be Suraj, Spidey and 3 puddles. Sidenote: Aleks Le deserves GOAT status for that performance. I don't know how this man still has a throat after all that yelling.

#sundayrundown I’ve noticed that Episode took some creative liberties compared to the manhwa, altering or omitting several key scenes that defined the original storyline. For instance, the anime cut out the intense moment when Jinwoo punches a knight only to be immediately countered and knocked down, as well as the gruesome pool-of-blood scene featuring Jinho, Jinah, and his mother. The episode also leaves out the detail of Jinwoo buying bandages from the Shop, and the stabbing that occurred in the manhwa never happens on screen. There’s a significant change in the portrayal of the Knight Golem too; rather than disappearing upon the death of the Magicians, it lingers until Jinwoo himself takes it down. Even the lighter, humorous moments experienced in the manhwa, like Jinwoo’s cringe-worthy comment while naming Igris, were not included, and subtle changes such as Igris bowing differently and his scar shifting from the right to the left eye really stood out to me. On the other hand, the anime introduced several original scenes that added a fresh twist to the narrative. Cha Hae-In is shown covering her nose for the first time, and she offers thoughtful commentary on the previous Jeju raid despite not having been a Hunter then, which deepens her character. Another intriguing addition is the early reveal of the dead body of a winged Monster Ant during a Hunters Guild recon mission—a detail that was meant to unfold later in the manhwa. The episode also confirms Woo Jin Chul’s involvement in the previous raid, linking back to earlier events. I was really impressed by the sakuga sequences, especially the scene where the Ruler’s hand drags the magician across the room and Jinwoo dispatches him with a decisive beheading. The intensity of the two-dagger shot and the execution of the centipede fight, all rendered in hand-drawn artistry, perfectly captured the raw energy and monstrous strength of Jinwoo. I personally appreciated the choice of using the term “monarch” rather than “sovereign,” which resonated more with me, even though I was left hoping for a fuller musical payoff with Dark Aria when Shadow Igris made his entrance.
