He lies about everything, including what he is. He knows he is a guy, his whole thing in the scene is that he is acting like a defenseless woman to lure them in or to get away, but when called out, he clearly knows that he was caught in a lie. Even Charlotte Chuhlhourne see's through Giselle's lie, saying that they are the same.

It expresses that Urahara made the outfit and Orihime wore it to impress Ichigo, but naturally, Ichigo wasn't properly aware. - The scene with Yumichika covering his nose was purposely re-recorded for Western audiences. In the Manga and in the Japanese episode, Yumichika is saying to Giselle: " You're a man, aren't you? You may think you have concealed it, but frankly, you stink of semen" (Which is why Yumichika was covering is nose) (This was likely changed for Western audiences because of social stances on the matter) - Many forget that the Shiba family was, or rather are by blood, one of the 5 Major Noble Families. The fact that they have a canon capable of reaching the Soul Palace says a lot and raises some interesting questions. (Plus, imagine how strong Kukaku's fire must be if she has enough energy to set off that canon) - Many people miss it but Giselle and her awful treatment towards Bambi is supposed to mimic how Mayuri was first introduced. He used Nemu as a tool and was wickedly violent and sadistic. By using Giselle/Bambietta as a parallel it shows us in part how Mayuri has grown since then. (Though Mayuri still isn't that good of a person but certainly better) - Mayuri finding dead Arrancar corpses in Szayelapporos' lab makes sense when you know additional information we learned in the light novels. In his Human life, Szayel and his brother Ylfordt worked for a great nation and Szayel was a Human Alchemist; there, he was doing cruel and gruesome Human experimentation. - Giselle's ability is to "Zombify" which is tricky because when we think Zombies, we think of already dead things. Here it's not the exact same, her Zombification practically allows her to control people and they become her puppets. She can zombify the Dead and the Living.

It's up to the individual for what they call her but most of the Bambis accept her as a woman. Yumichika, in the manga _and sub_, specifically calls out that she reeks of semen. Which is why he's covering his nose and mouth when he says it. To be clear, he's not just saying it as a joke. This is a hint that she's a necrophiliac as well when combined with literally everything else she says and how excited she is with Bambi. When she talks to Yumichika and Ikkaku about how she had to kill Bambi to turn her, in the manga and sub, she mentions the look on Bambi's face when she was dying made her wet. So. That's kind of the whole point of her being called out by Yumichika.

Especially the Aizen fight because everyone basically got one shotted there so its not fair to only single him out. Plus, we keep forgetting he's the youngest captain meaning he doesn't have the experience as other captains and he's been going up against pretty strong opponents.
