They are missing some important knowledge as they scheme. This isn’t the second time, it’s something like more than the billionth time. I can’t shake the thought this has all happened before or something like it…possibly thousands or millions of times. The only thing that seems to be completely brand new in this iteration is purple quiddity. And probably the bet between Loki and Hel for the dwarves souls. At least Loki, Thor and Hel made it sound that way. But everything else that has occurred is probably variations on themes that have happened many times previously.
