I would argue that even though Bazz didn’t understand he still cared, in the end while Haschwalth wasn’t understood by Bazz he was still cared for. He chose the understanding of a good over the imperfect affection of a mortal. In the end Haschwalth failure was relying on a almighty power instead of a unknownable one. His lack of faith destroyed him.

Bazz never understood Haschwalth. Everything in that backstory is Bazz not really "getting" what is happening with Jugo at any point. He doesn't get the implications of Jugo's uncle, he doesn't get that Jugo may have not cared or may have even been relieved when Ywach killed his uncle, he didn't get what Jugo was doing for him (unwittingly, but even so), and he didn't understand Jugo's thoughts and feelings when he was chosen by Ywach. But Haschwalth always understood or tried to understand Bazz. He even knew immediately that Bazz was upset, and why, when he was chosen instead and tried to redirect Ywach to Bazz, who was thinking that if either of them was chosen, it should have been him. Their friendship was effectively over the minute Bazz crashed out and tried to kill the person who was offering to save Jugo from the hell of a life he'd had up until that point. I think that was the point where Haschwalth realized how one-sided the friendship had been, in some ways and how much their paths were diverging. There was just no reconciling, and Bazz didn't get it.

#Sunday Rundown So the place that Yhwach was taking over Quincy lands wasn't actually a fourth world. It's just Germany a thousand years ago. Yhwach was straight up beefing with Charlemagne. You can also sort of figure out that it's before the first attack because a bunch of the skeletons that Yamamoto brought back to life after killing in the first war are there as living Quincy but it's a pretty small detail I only noticed because I overanalyze Bleach way too much. Also keeping in with Senjumaru's Bankai being foreshadowing for future fights for those trapped in it; Jugram's prison hell in her power was him being surrounded by flames, showing his future fight with Bazzard Black.

#SundayRundown #Bleach i would just like to inform, thing that can manipulate "reishi" = "life energy", can live for a very long time (depending on how much they can manipulate).
