2025-06-26 17:52:55 +0000 UTCIn the campaign, Yenk fighting Vorugal was actually 100% part of the plan. He didn't come from the hells, but actually the abyss (and Pike's plate came from somewhere else entirely). They called Yenk with a very powerful scroll they had that could call any creature from any plane as long as you knew it's name, and they knew his name and knew he had a magic item they wanted - not saying what it is specifically because it may come up in season 4. So they put Yenk up somewhere they knew Vorugal would find him (Draconia actually ended up being his lair in the campaign) and waited for him to show up.

In the show, the demon had a vestige for Keyleth (a cool staff in its stomach that turns people into fucking TREES when you kill them with it) so they used Vorugal to kill it. Vorugal WILLINGLY accepted the challenge because he’s a hunter and loves to fight challenging things!

In DND, Greater demons can summon lesser demons and even open permanent portals to the abyss for other greater demons to come through!!! It is quite possible that if Yenk won they could have had a full scale invasion problem 😨

White dragons are normally the weakest and smallest, but HO-LY VORUGAL IS HUGE!! Fun fact: Yenk, the demon, in the campaign was a Gorristro, the largest demons there are. He couldn’t shoot lasers but he did have like flaming horns and stuff 🤟 Demons and Devils in dnd don’t die unless you kill them in their home plane. So Yenk 100% pulled that Stunner just for fun 🤣 “If I’m going down lemme try this real quick!”
