There was so much Godfather in the original comic it was kinda funny Well this has a big difference from the comic! You said you were filmming part 2 this week so this shouldn’t be a spoiler. Unless you plan to read the comic / / / / / •Alberto was never suspected and Batman and Selina never talked to him. He was killed alone and his body wasn’t cut up by the boat propeller, but it did seemingly go over. Then it turns out he faked his death and he was the real Holiday, because he was upset he wasn’t allowed to be part of the crime business and wanted to show his dad he was capable. •Gilda is revealed to be the original Holiday but not because of a forcibly ended wedding and pregnancy with Alberto. She wanted to end the Falcone crime empire so Harvey would have less work and they could focus on their marriage and starting a family. She did the killings up to New Years. She believed Harvey got the same idea and became the second Holiday starting with Alberto, before that was revealed as fake, because of sus circumstances. She still believes Harvey was the new Holiday and Alberto just took credit, which she’s fine with. She still believes in Harvey. It’s never confirmed whether it was Harvey or Alberto

2025-08-22 05:03:46 +0000 UTCSo you Normies have some context, "Batman: The Long Halloween" by Jeph Loeb (writer) and Tim Sale (artist, RIP) is one of the most influential Batman comics of all time. It has served as the direct inspiration for Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight and Matt Reeve's The Batman. This movie is a direct adaptation of the graphic novel. The comic is also seen as a prime example of the type of detective stories you can tell with Batman. Lastly, the comic limited series was essentially a love letter from Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale to mobster movies like the Godfather. Also the opening title sequence art you guys saw are pages taken directly by Tim Sale and Matt Hollingsworth (colorist) artwork in the comic. Highly recommend you guys read it. The art from Sale and Hollingsworth alone is worth reading.

2025-08-21 17:25:17 +0000 UTC#Sunday Rundown - A few Fun Facts for you guys this story "The Long Halloween" was also adapted into the plot to Matt Revees "The Batman" movie, The Falcone Crime Family was actually based on The Corleone Family from the movie "The Godfather" with each member of the Falcone's reperesting a member of the Corleone's family., and lastly "The Long Halloween" story in the comics actually has a sequel called "Dark Victory" which debuts The Boy Wonder.
