I've been on the fence with Ellie ever since she acted so rudely towards Jake in S1, so her biting at him in this was making it hard for me to enjoy her. I enjoyed her character during the hotel episode of DCAS, so I was hoping to get to have fun with her character in a non-competition environment like this. Gladly, they were able to reconcile because I really do enjoy her when she's not being rude towards anyone or competing. I was proud of Jake this episode as well. He put his feelings aside for Ellie for awhile to help her clean her place so she could focus on something he knew was very important to her. It's great to see them tolerating each other in the end and realizing they were both acting immaturely. My favorite parts of this episode were definitely Tom and Gabby's friendship! Love how happy they both were to be around one another and how they got to bond with each other, along with their significant others, at the ice skating rink. It was so much fun to see the love and happiness between them :) The episode was worth the wait and I'm anticipating to see where this cliffhanger leads us next week!

2024-10-16 21:16:53 +0000 UTCThoughts: Four of my favourites and Ellie in the same episode? I've been spoiled today and I'm in love with this series already and we're only halfway through it. I'm so happy to see how far Jake and Ellie have come as individuals and the two are getting along for real this time like it always should have been, I never thought I'd ever say this but I might be forgiving Ellie for her victim shaming after all. The moral of the story is that everyone struggles in this lifetime, different levels and styles, sure, but all are valid and that's how the two enemies could find common ground. I've missed Tom and Gabby's adventures and I was glad to see them reunite and how they all went to the ice rink with the loves of their life later on just shows how wholesome and beautiful their love stories truly are. But how much do you want to bet Tom's in trouble because of the cold case file they stole? Also, Miriam makes an appearance and she called Jake SON, it touched my heart, Miriam is the queen and this is just one of the reasons why I love her just as much as Tom, Jake and Gabby. I can't wait to see more of her in the series later. ONC you have stolen my heart with your beautiful love story of two destined pairings and a chosen family all their own. I can't wait for the next episode and keep up the good work. You're all so amazing.

Self-defense training fits Gabby perfectly well. As a martial artist myself, it would be a tremendous honor to spar with her. Miriam’s appearance was a real bonus, as usual. Glad to see Jake and Ellie hash things out. My favorite part was Ellie calling Jake a “manchild”. Fits him so well. Sorry, Jake lovers, but truth is truth. The suspense the final scene gave was chilling… sweet icing on the cake there! 9.9/10

2024-10-16 20:15:23 +0000 UTCAwesome episode, now for my review! -Tom and Gabby this episode was honestly the cutest thing ever, seeing Tom so excited to see Gabby at the airport and both of them giving puppy eyes to Jake, two little gay goofballs -Jake honestly surprised me this episode with how he handled Ellie and making an effort to finding a job, glad to have the Jake i knew back - I was a little annoyed with Ellie in this episode with how she would always shut down any attempt from Jake to try and liven the mood, but seeing how she and Jake reconciled, and now all four of them are friends now, I'm happy for them. -The ending though was scary, I know we're seeing Tom and his family arc next episode but the way Lucía made it sound, it seems Jake's family issues aren't the only ones in the book. -my favorite moment though was seeing all four get along and have fun at the ice rink, and even the kiss scene! Love to all of them. ❤️🩷🧡💚
