The energy can only be described as "joyously unhinged" as Ali and Carly talk about Lord of the Rings in the same room! That's right, it's the first episode of "Talkin' About" to ever be recorded in person, and these two notoriously repressed women are finally cutting loose. Memories are recovered! Ships are discussed! Shadowfax is put in his place! Yet all the while, Ali's goosebumps are nowhere to be found. Grab this wild stallion of an episode the way Legolas would (by the neck, parkour into the saddle) and not the way Aragorn would (arm strap stuck in Warg saddle, gets dragged off a cliff).

And whenever I share this, inevitably I am not the only one who has such a memory. Why is LotR the perfect make out movie???

2021-05-27 19:56:04 +0000 UTCThese films used to be a huge sore spot for me when I was younger, in Middle School/High School my parents would literally buy tickets for this film every weekend it was in theaters and dump me off there and expect me to watch it every weekend at least twice. I grew to loathe the films because of that because I literally saw them at least 20 times in theaters each hahaha. Nowadays I'm good! Time helped!
