Originally Ross and Emily were supposed to get married and stay married for a bit. They changed the story because the actress that played Emily got pregnant, couldn't travel to the US, and she hated all of the attention that being on Friends brought to her. Also, the producers didn't think she was funny enough.

They are my absolute favourite on the show, so seeing them get together was honestly one of my favourite moments out of the whole show. They bring out the best in each other and it really does help with them being so close before they got together. I’m obsessed with them, they are hands down my favourite couple on friends and it’s great that you love them too 🥰
