I think you should do one of Arnie's comedies after this--maybe Kindergarten Cop or even True Lies, which is more of an Action Comedy. I'd love your reaction on the other side of Arnie's film catalog, which has quite a bit of comedies on it.

jeez thats a huge budget increase!! i figured it was more expensive than the frist but 100 mil seems like overkill lmao since they both are good quality makes no sense for it to be that much more expensive than the first one when the first holds up today 😂 also thats so sad about the kid :( him being a child in hollywood must have been so rough for him to go down that path 😭 such a shame as his performace was so damn good

Forgot to mention the budget of the film. The first movie was low budget at only $6 million. When Terminator 2 released, at the time it was the most expensive movie ever made at $100 million. Before T2, only like 4 or 5 movies even had a budget of $50 million. Also the reason it took so many years to make after the first film is that there was a dispute over the ownership rights of the franchise. It took a while to sort out. Also wanted to mention Edward Furlong who played John. This was his first movie ever. He was set to be a breakout star (he had another great performance in the movie American History X..) but unfortunately he got heavy into drugs and ruined his career. He was supposed to return as John in Terminator 3 and signed a contract for $15 million on the agreement he would not use drugs, but immediately went out and bought all the cocaine he could and OD'd (but survived). He was fired from the movie and they cast someone else as John and Furlong's career went down the drain. Such a waste of talent.

Ooo yes thank you!! Will do that now!! Ahh I’m so lucky I didn’t get spoiled it was such a nice surprise! 🥰🥰 Lmao the licking was just so gross it was a visceral reaction 😭😭 Omg I didn’t notice the no blinking! I need to go back and see haha also I’m planing to watch alien in October for halloween!! I’m so excited I’ve heard it’s so good 🙂‍↕️ Wow insane level of stunts! And here’s me thinking it’s impossible 😅 Sooo true!! John’s humanity really shines through, im thinking it could be a reaction to his mum’s detachment sorta style like they are complete opposites Awwhhh, it was such a beautiful 😭 I just wish he could have stayed and been John’s replacement dad or something lol 😩 Not sure if I’m gonna watch the next ones! I feel like the only way to continue the story would be to undo the plot of this one 😅 and I really liked this ending it tied up all the loose ends imo

Hell Yeah. I'm glad you watched the theatrical version, though you may want to mention that in your post so people don't try to sync up the wrong version. I'm glad you weren't spoiled (or accidentally spoiled) on the fact that Arnold was the good guy in this. Some people accidentally spoil it for themselves by misunderstanding Sarah's opening narration when she says Skynet sent 2 terminators back in time, referring to the one from the first movie, and one for this movie. I've seen several reactions where people hear that 2 terminator line and assume both are terminators (which is correct, but they're not supposed to know that). Unfortunately the trailers for the movie at the time spoiled the twist, but the movie definitely wants you to think the cop should be the protector (though he obviously acts suspicious). Your "this is why men should not have jobs" line made me laugh out loud. Yes, THAT guy should not have a job and should be in jail but I'm not sure about all men. Heh. The scene where Sarah goes after Dyson at his home and you said she has become the terminator... YES. So many people miss that. She has become the thing she is fighting against. That is such a heavy scene. Linda Hamilton, who plays Sarah Connor, was phenomenal in this role. Probably one of the 2 greatest female action performances of all time (the other being Ripley from the Alien series). She trained herself not to blink when firing that gun. Most actors, or people for that matter, will blink each time a shot is fire. She was solid as a rock. You mentioned that helicopter flying low on the highway. They actually performed that stunt for real. The pilot really did fly that helicopter over and under the bridges along that stretch of highway. The special effects in this are amazing. Groundbreaking for the time and still better than most movies today. Just incredible stuff. John valuing human life is a large emphasis and really shows why he becomes the leader he was destined to be. Sarah going after Dyson even though it might stop the war and John protesting "don't you understand why you can't kill people?"... I really love this aspect of the movie. You mentioned the arm left behind again, and here is my opinion on the matter. One, Sarah knows the same thing happened with the first terminator and would probably go look for the arm and throw it in the lava as well. Two, the chip is WAY more important for developing AI and the fact that it was destroyed is more important than the arm. Finally, I will say that only 2 movies in my life have made me cry. I think I was around 12 years old when I first saw this and when Arnold says his goodbyes "I know now why you cry... but it is something I can never do..." I lost it. The other movie is ending of Rudy. I could say a lot more but I've already written enough. Just love this movie to death. My favorite movie of the 90s. For me, the Terminator franchise ends here. Up to you if you want to continue with the other movies, but for me... T2 is the end.
