For anyone interested, a top NA pro, Stryker, wrote a very interesting technical breakdown of how valkyrie splash damage works on TL.net: https://tl.net/forum/bw-strategy/567293-valkyrie-dmg-formula?page=2#21 About spinny missile flight path: valk missiles are fired to a matrix of 14 RELATIVE coordinates from the target unit. Those coordinates can be as much as 63 pixel radius away from the target. That's almost the diameter of a pylon! So if you also consider that the valk missile vector goes through the front of the valk, if a target unit is within a pylon away, the coordinate the missile is supposed to fly to can be BEHIND the valk itself, so the missile loops around. and if the units are on the move it makes the missile keep adjusting it's flight path every 8 frames
