Devlog 1: Prototype game creation

Hey folk!

Soooooo... This is a bit unusual, but I thought I'd try it out. You see, as some of you might know, I've been working hard on my attempts at joining my stories with a bit more of an interactive media in the form of, kind of, CYOA games.

It's been... a different experience! Writing for it feels very different and my usual flow doesn't work quite as well with it, but I've been learning lots and getting the hang of it, hence why I wanted to make a smaller prototype game first. I plan for the game to be small, but even a small game is still a bit sizeable! I kept it as concise as possible (even if the setting does allow expansion!) and it was a fun challenge to come up with something that followed the parameters YOU guys chose in the polls we made together for it!

Let me tell you a little bit about what I came up with.

Introduction

It won't be TOO different than reading one of my stories. At least, I don't plan for it to be. The only main difference is that there will be choices to make every now and then, which I hope will help with immersion in it. I mean, there are a few mechanics here or there that I have planned to aid in it as well! I hope those will be fun (and hot!).

Still, while I'd like to make a more story-focused game in the future, THIS one focuses primarily on what everyone is used to: the kinky! I have a whole lot of eroticism planned for it and I hope it'll be... pleasing. ;) As per the polls as well, the first two main scenes I have planned will also involve heavy CBT and milking, respectively, both with bondage all around them and in an environment revolving around a lot of magic. Anything is possible... including the kinkiest things imaginable!

Release

I don't know for SURE about this, but I do plan on releasing this prototype game in two parts. One with the first half done so that everyone can experience the first half of the small game, then I'll work on the second, final half and post the complete game afterwards!

I'll probably post the finished game outside of Patreon, but not the first half, so that might be Patreon exclusive since it'll be incomplete work. We'll see, but it's very likely!

Progress

The writing itself for the first part is almost done. I only have the first 'bad ending' left to write. ;) Before I release it, however, I would still like to do a bunch of visual improvements. That'll revolve around some coding and image editing. I'm good at coding, but image editing? I've got some learning to do there... so I hope you all can be patient while I acquire all this knowledge to get it done properly!

Conclusion

All of this will, hopefully, help a lot for when I move on to a bigger game as I planned to. I have to say that, overall, as weird as it is, I'm quite enjoying it! It's good to finally be able to dip my feet into the game development world! I very, very much hope you all will enjoy the results that come out of it as well!

As always, thank you so much for all the support. I very much hope that these games will open the doors for a new way to experience my writing! Of course, as you guys have seen, I do not intend to stop writing regular stories on the side every now and then, but we'll see what the future holds!
