Demons Within new MUSIC preview: "Resnick's theme"

Something entirely new today for the previews tier!

For quite a while, I've been wanting to invest more in music for Demons Within. It's kinda hard to manage the budget of the game since we need so much art and lately we've been having a lot of CGs that I thought were very important to make the game as awesome as it can be. However, at the same time... I've had people ask me about Demons Within's soundtrack before. I like the music in the game as it is (I wouldn't have put it in if I didn't like it!), however, there are times when I struggle to find the right piece of music for a given mood or scene in the game. There are some occurrences where I did my best, but felt like the music didn't FULLY match the feeling of what was going on in the screen.

Right now, all the music we have in Demons Within IS good, as I said. They are music that I bought from different soundtracks made for games (usually RPGs) out there, whether in packages or individual, made by professionals. However, I always wanted something more... individual for the game. Something that would match the feelings and moods that Demons Within's characters and scenes bring, not something that just closely matches it. That's why, after all this time, I'm finally slowly investing in music for the game as well!

I know that music is EXTREMELY important for the game and, though it is definitely not my strong suit, I do my best to match it as best as I can. Now, little by little, I intend on investing in a few pieces of music for the game so that, some day, we'll have an entirely original soundtrack that hopefully will work much better to make the game as good as it can be in that regard as well. And we're starting with what I loosely call (so far), 'Resnick's Theme'.

Now, this isn't exactly Resnick's theme. Unlike some other characters that might get themes later that are more in tandem with what they represent, to be used in scenes with them, Resnick is there... ALL the time. That's why I wanted this piece of music to loosely represent him, but also the overall vibe of the game or, at least, what he brings to it as a protagonist.

I couldn't be happier with the result myself and I hope that you all, as you listen to it, will be as well! This piece will be in the game and I intend to replace some of the old music with it whenever I feel like it'd be appropriate to have it, as well as in future scenes that fit it.

This is just the beginning, however! As I said, if Demons Within does continue to thrive (thanks to your amazing support, by the way!), I hope to be able to invest more and slowly create more pieces that will make the game better and better. And, of course, I'll share each and every one of them with you all. :)

Last but definitely not least, credit where it's due! This incredible piece of music was made by Hughhhh, who was already a fan of Demons Within and did an AMAZING job composing this from scratch as we worked together to make it fit as best as we both thought it would. Huge thanks to him for his amazing work and I hope we'll do more in the future!
