I don’t know if you guys know this, but Nick Offerman actually is a very skilled handyman. He loves building things with his own hands, and prefers to use primitive tools over electrical or mechanical tools. His specialty is woodworking, and he’s made absolutely beautiful furniture, sculptures, canoes, cabins, etc with his own hands. I often say that someone needs to hurry up and make a Teddy Roosevelt movie before Nick ages out of the role. That’s what makes him a good man and not just a curmudgeon. PS - I’m a bit whiskey chatty.

2025-07-07 05:40:46 +0000 UTCalso as someone who delves into the psyche of fictional characters way too much i think at the heart of chris is a very depressed, lonely person who tries to fulfill himself any way he can and goes to extremes. i wish the show explored that more in depth instead of just throwing randomness at him that in turn, feels as you mentioned, out of character.

2025-07-07 03:04:20 +0000 UTCi love this episode, i love andy trying to connect with ben. ben is having a hard time and it's nice to see both andy and april make an effort. i feel like there's sometimes the writers don't really know what to do with chris and anne. it kind of sucks because they're good characters and can be very rich characters with proper writing and storylines. i like what they did with tom at the end of this episode. definitely needed to redeam himself and he did a pretty good job doing so
