2025-07-08 09:08:22 +0000 UTCyes this show is flawless after 17 seasons it is impossible they do anything cringe in an attempt to stay relevant. every joke they've ever done lands. ok i'm being silly but i think in the past the trends or topics they've touched on were broader. social media, hate speech, "wokeness". hawk tuah was such a short lived insignificant meme that it does come across like they threw that in there to appeal to younger audience. honestly nothing in the trailer appealed to me. i will watch obviously but part of me really wishes they just wrapped in season 12 or 13. it would've been remembered as a near perfect cult classic but like everything successful, they milk it and milk it until people are just fed up. no one has the integrity of a bill waterston (calvin and hobbes) to just call it quits at the peak

They make one jab at a specific meme now and that’s too on the nose for you? After 16 seasons? 🤷♂️

2025-07-08 06:34:21 +0000 UTCoh dear....i was on board until the hawk tuah bit....yikes lol i HATE when shows try to shoe-horn in memes like this. idk about anyone else but when that girl "happened" i read about it, saw it mentioned a few times, and haven't thought of it since. seeing it mentioned in the trailer is the first time i've thought about it in months. it makes the show feel dated and "try hard" when they do stuff like that. hopefully it's just a one off joke. but highlighting it in the trailer just feels ick to me. hopefully it's a good season!!

That being said this season could be horrible, but I’m sure it will still be worth watching as it’s the gang. (Also Rob changed his name to Rob Mac)
