It use to be “E Pluribus Unum”, which is Latin for “Out of Many, One” (which means “many cultures and faiths coming together in a union”). But our government, in all its infinite wisdom decided to say “Fuck you” to separation of church and state in 1956, and push the idea of Christian faith (exclusion instead of inclusion) as part of an effort to rally support against communism during the Cold War.
