Also, on the subject of the show not nearing its endgame, the writers have talked about RWBY being somewhere between 12-15 volumes total, they try to write the series in 3 volume arcs. I can see 12 volumes personally, but yeah we're no where near the end.

The fandom has been making wrong calls for years, wild mass guessing is just a part of theory-crafting, no one can call everything right :) and sometimes getting things wrong makes for better reactions when you find out what actually happens
