The grimm pools running out has been a theory of mine as well. If you look at the massive pools in the Lost Fable episode and the small pools shown at the beginning of Vol 4, it sure seems like maybe it's a finite resource now that the God of Darkness has left.

2021-02-26 02:00:49 +0000 UTCJust the Hound is human, since it was an experiment of Salem's. Well, she may have more experiments, but the vast majority of Grimm are just Grimm. Easiest way to tell is that the Hound is the only Grimm so far that has left a skeleton behind (the human part of it) whereas all other Grimm just vanish into smoke (like the non-human bits of the Hound did). Also not sure if you noticed, but the faunus inside the Hound had Silver Eyes.
2021-02-26 01:39:51 +0000 UTCthere was a fworld of remnant about grimm - where they said that grimm normally complete disintegrate when defeated and in the lamp's flashback it looked like came directly from the goo of the dark gods pool (since then I had the theory that since the gods left the pool goo is limited and the grimm will die out because of that one day and that is one of the main reasons why salem played it safe for as long as possible)
