HEY GUYS!

So, here is Monday's video, but there is a bit of a strange history behind it.

As you all know, I rarely take on sponsored projects. You might notice that all across YouTube there are educational channels taking regular sponsors, and I...definitely haven't. Part of that is ideological - I don't like to sponsor any product that I don't 100% actually endorse, and part of that is artistic - sponsors require native ad breaks and I hate that. That's why I have Patreon and you fine folk. You truly are the sponsors of my videos, and I love that so very, very much.

However, I took a sponsorship for the video that you are seeing right here because at the time I thought it was a great fit for the stuff I did. It was a company that I'm...actually not sure if I legally can say who they were. Due to some very strange behind-the-scenes stuff, I can't release the sponsored version, so you and the rest of the world are getting the non-sponsored version.

The reasons for this are complicated, but it is partly influenced by the fact that I am teaching using a copyrighted work. This is crazy grey legal territory that I have been flirting with as a YouTuber, so I have had to tread very carefully. However, I'm pretty sure (let's hope) I can legally release the version I'm releasing to you guys, so I really hope you enjoy!
