Background:
Freja Salstar, later known as Tanisha Scalebound, was born into the illustrious Salstar lineage, a family renowned for its prodigies and noble heritage. Despite her prestigious lineage, Freja was considered the black sheep of her family due to her lack of magical prowess, a vital trait in her culture.
Early Life and Struggles:
Freja's magical abilities were so deficient that when it was discovered she was a wizard, she faced ostracism from her family. At the age of 12, rather than being dishonorably disowned in a public shaming process called a "shiagaunt," she was sent to Dorsehal Academy to improve her magical skills. This decision was influenced by her older sister Helga, who pleaded with their father to give Freja another chance.
Shift to Alchemy:
Despite her efforts, Freja's magical skills did not improve. She found solace and passion in alchemy, a field she excelled in. However, tragedy struck when Helga died in the war for the Holy Land, bringing Freja under scrutiny once more. With Helga gone, Freja was next in line to become the family heir, a prospect that her parents, Ulfar and Ingrid, found unacceptable. Their decision to remove her from the family was hastened when Freja named Bjorn, whom they mistakenly thought was a lizard or chimera, as her familiar.
Transformation and New Identity:
Following her expulsion from the family, Freja underwent a significant transformation. She evolved from being a Wendigo to a Cernnunos, a Greater Wendigo. The Transformation saw her free herself from will of the True Wendigo the Forest Father.
