AI is Doomed to Fail the Musical Turing Test

Spicy take, but one I stand by! I spend most of this video essay talking about human music making and everything an AI would need to do to pass a Turing Test with that in mind. It's actually pretty shocking just HOW all-encompassing human musical activity is, and for AI to be incorporated into it would require a much broader definition of what music is.

Oops early send -- a couple thoughts: 1) Power needs for computation should continue to decrease through time as they have. 2) AI voiceovers are a weird uncanny valley -- it's obvious it's your writing, but delivered by the soulless bot it's weird. Perhaps voice actors may feel the same about AI "voiceovers" as you do about AI "music". 3) The singularity has already taken hold. Internet-enabled technology is now a source of emotion for most people (insta stats anyone?). We're just the vessels that the sentient crystals are slowly revealing their secrets to, so that we can bring it fully into being.
