Our Dreams at Dusk - The Use of Visual Metaphors

It's here!!! I am so, so sorry about the delay to this video, if you follow my twitter or discord you'll know i've had a nightmare with youtube clearing this video for some reason (took 5 hours?!) It should have been up this morning, but alas, youtube hates me apparently? But hopefully the wait is worth it. This video is very personal to me in reagards to the topics in the video

Anyways! In this video I discuss/show the plethora of visual metaphors Yuhki Kamatani applies in all of their works, but mostly notably the manga Our Dreams at Dusk. I put a lot of effort into this video due to how personal this manga is to me, so I hope you enjoy!

No matter the manga, Yuhki Kamatani's work is able to  depict heart-wrenching scenarios in such raw moments without relying on text. It's a skill that makes their work stand out to me very often. It's creatively utilised in a stylised way that makes their work distinctive

TW: Homophobia/transphobia/suicide

Due to the nature of Our Dreams' story, there are a few panels throughout the video that do contain offensive slurs & potential triggering imagery. This decision wasn't made lightly and was kept in to keep the harsh realities this manga imposes.

If you wish to view it with subtitles, it'll have to be a little later when i've published it live for everyone (in a few hours, as the subtitles take forever to time etc)

Let me know what you think! And if you're new to this manga, let me know if this peaked your interest!

Thank you guys for all your support, it means so much to me!
