2022 round-up and upcoming 2023 projects

Happy new year everybody!! (Still a little early where I'm at, but I know there's a fair few who are already on 2023 time). 

2022 was an interesting year for me on Youtube. I kept to my promise and made more videos than the previous year - (10 whole videos this year, and knowing how long it can take me to create manga videos, I consider this a pretty big win!)

Some were really great hitters viewership-wise, the Stylised or Realistic video coming out the most successful, and some weren't so great. Most notably my Everything Everywhere all at Once video and my "Why I love animation video". But hey, you live and learn!

But the biggest thing, especially regarding the animation video, is that they were all received so well by you guys, and I loved doing them a bunch, so it's still a win in my eyes!

I don't quite know what been happening with the algorithm this year for me, videos no getting traffic in the most bizzare ways, and some people not being notified of releases. (Not to mention the three random claims on my videos this year that lead nowhere in the end?) 

But! Overall, I'm super proud of the videos I've made, and I've become a lot closer to some of you guys as well (reminder, I'm always open to be talked to on twitter/discord etc). And all of this couldn't have been achieved without your guys' help and support. Helping me buy After Effecting plug-ins that save me time, allowing me to buy manga for research and much more. I couldn't be thankful enough for everyone who helps out this little channel and it means the world.

For 2023, I still have some really exciting videos. I'm just over halfway with my dungeon meshi video - which I'm super proud of and can't wait to get it out now! But for those who don't follow me on Twitter, I did also give a little sneak peak of the manga videos I have planned for next year. (And hopefully more, but I don't want to promise and give away too much haha).

Of course, manga won't just be the only medium I cover, Spiderverse and Gravity Falls (which I'll be watching as a completely new viewer!) are projects I desperately want to explore too, among other animated shows/films. I don't want to get too far ahead of things, but boy, I'm excited for all of them.   

And you might have noticed a little branding change. You'll see more final results in the Dungeon Meshi video, but I feel like this spice up is a little more ... Well, me!
