Just a little update!

Hey all, it's been a few weeks since the last update, and wanted to let you in on what's going on with the upcoming video and a reveal of what will be the next video!

The Houseki no Kuni video is about 60% complete! I'm hoping to get it out either end of this week, or begining of the next week - and I'm really pleased with how the process has gone so far. I hope you guys are looking forward to it. There are going to be spoilers in this video, so if you haven't read the manga, you may want to avoid it if you don't wish to be spoiled.

The video after HnK will actually be a sequel of sorts to my Owl House video -"Why Gravity Falls is so fun". Many of you recommended the show on Discord, and so many Owl House fans love this series too, so it was a no-brainer to start the series.  I've been watching it whilst doing manga editing and winded up loving it aswell.

(I'll also be doing a cheeky little Patreon exclusive giveaway with little gifts related to the show, but more on that when I get to it.)

Hope everyone is well! And let me know if you're a Gravity Falls watcher yourself. I've still got quite a few episodes to go.

I freaking love Gravity Falls and I am SO excited for your opinion on it.

Yes!! It's a really good technique and has worked with so many other stories like you mentioned. I wonder if part of that is because they need to show higher executives the first few episodes too (in order to get greenlit) and therefore need to shown its potential? But couldn't agree more!

Gravity Falls was a lot of fun and had some great reveals, progression, and ending. Carries on the legacy of the "start off simple and monster-of-the-week and then hook em with the deeper lore and go big" type media, a personal favorite of mine. Same with unfolding games (like clickers, or any Daniel Mullins games) that start with only a few things and then balloon to include more stuff, more story, more everything. A lot of successful more modern cartoons like Adventure Time, Steven Universe, Bravest Warriors, BoJack Horseman, Hilda, and Owl House have been taking full advantage of the setup too. Sell it to people and then take them along for the full ride of the story you really wanted to tell.
