Originally this was going to be a video just covering the body horror, but I found myself liking the dichotomy between body horror and the uncanny valley so much - I think they work so well against another! Meaning, this became a video that discusses both techniques/elements, instead.
I don't personally think it's gory/scary, but i did put a little warning at the begining just in case.
I haven't seen much about the uncanny valley effect, specifically within the manga scene, so I'm hoping people are able to come away learning something new from this video!
(Also, those two German/Polish words were a NIGHTMARE to pronounce, me and my German-speaking friend were on call for 45 minutes just trying to get me to pronounce them correctly). 😂 If I'm pronouncing Japanese names the 'correct' way, it'd be hypocritical to not pronounce them as closely to the original, too.
This video will be publicly uploaded tomorrow for everyone, I'm trying to edit in the subtitles as I type, so they should be done by this evening!
