Video Update
Added 2024-07-22 17:41:16 +0000 UTCHey everyone, so little update time. I'm well into the editing of the Witch Hat Atelier video. The reason it's been a wait is because it's looking to be my longest video on the channel - around the 31 minute mark, which makes for a lot of editing on my side of things. (And also it took a long time to write this, there are certain sections that I wanted other people to read over).
Now, this sneak preview is actually the last minute of the video, but it doesn't spoil (?) anything really. It's easily the shortest segment of the video that i'm okay with showing haha. I hope the wait will be worth it for you guys! And i'm taking it at a steady pace so as not to burn out.
I am hoping for an August release - I think I was too hopeful on that July prediction. But until then, I hope you're all doing well!

I am hoping it is a great adaptation and pulls in a ton of new fans! Also worried that after they adapt what they can it goes on a long hiatus and people forget about it... still waiting for more Land of the Lustrous and Dorohedoro to be animated so I can talk to people about the absolute chaos that happens later! Also random question, any chance you'd ever cover From the New World / Shin Sekai Yori? I hear the manga adaptation isn't nearly as good as the original novel or anime adaptations, but the anime blew me away. It is complex and tackles tricky themes and is generally very thought provoking. Don't wanna force it though, I know you've probably got plenty of ideas and more topical stuff to cover for the youtube algo :D

2024-07-22 19:08:01 +0000 UTCAhh, thank you!! And great question!! I reckon it'll be a 12/13 episode anime season. I don't think it'll be 2 cour, if I'm honest, which means they'll be covering anything up to volumes 6 - 7. As that's about 'normal' for a well paced anime adaptation. This could means they could end on the Beldaruit task, which I think would be a great close off. As everything after that feels so seperate. BUGFILMS are a brand new studio, if this does well for them (which, if I were to base off the trailer alone, looks like it could blow up in popularity for them, as they've supposedly done a great job so far) they'll be in it for the long haul. Given how long it's taken for the first season, I don't have any worries about them catching up to the manga, really. I just *really* hope it's not a one and done kind of issue (like freiren is atm, strangely).

2024-07-22 18:06:48 +0000 UTCIt is a beautiful clip and I'm already tearing up, can't wait for the full video! π₯Ή I am a little worried that the anime adaptation is coming so soon. It feels like they'll run out of manga content quite quickly and then I suppose folks will have to wait a long time before enough content is available to adapt another season? There are definitely moments in the manga they could make a satisfying mid-pause-end at but the real ending feels like it won't be for quite a while. What do you think/hope will happen?
