NEXT VIDEO POLL

Hey guys! I'm planning to take this week off to recuperate from the 3 sponsored videos I've had to get out within deadlines, but during this time, would love to get your thoughts on what you want the next video to be about. So, I figured I'd talk just a tiny bit about the options, and let you guys decide!

(PSA: The titles are not final!)

After God: The next big, apocalyptic horror seinen!

This video will be much like my Fool Night video (that I did at the time, say I'd follow up with Hikaru or After God). I had a lot of fun with the Fool Night video, and had a big surprise by how well the video did. A lot of people found out about the story through the video, I'd love to do the same with After God. Story-wise, think along the lines of Tokyo Ghoul meets Chainsaw Man! (Also, as per Sazzle's mention, this will be releasing physically at the very begining of Jan, so it'd be great timing!)

My problems with Blue Flag

This is definitely one video i'm most curious to know if people would want this kind of content from me. Blue Flag is a manga that's been recommended to me a thousand times, alongside Our Dreams at Dusk, as a pioneer in lgbt manga literature. Unfortunately, however, it's one of my least favourite manga, and a lot of that is due to the last 60% of the manga, which I think does a massive disservice to certain characters, and is one I just can't recommend, personally. This video would be the first critical video I'd make. I've only made positive/positive-led videos on the channel, so I'm nervous as to how this would be received tbh. But would love others thoughts.

How Anticipation is used in Horror and Comedy Manga

This one I'm actually looking forward to covering. Anticipation is a skill predominately used in horror and comedy, not strictly just for manga, for genres across all media. For manga, however, there are certain skills mangaka show in utilising this skill at its best - the biggest examples being Yotsuba! and Junji Ito's works! This video would be more akin to my Blue Period/Witch Hat Panelling video!

Van Gogh: Appreciating Artistry whilst you have it (very much a rough working title

For those who follow me on twitter, I visited a Van Gogh gallery not long back! When I did my Keith Haring video, I knew I wanted to cover other artists I feel have made an impact on how I view art. And whilst Van Gogh is notoriously known, I find his work and personal story to be important in today's age. The video would talk about the conversations on mental health, how AI and the digital world have been hurting artists more than ever, and why artists are helped by a simple like or comment. Whilst making that relevant to Van Gogh's story.

How Medalist wrote the Perfect Dynamic in Manga

A lot of you know I'm a massive fan of Medalist, and since covering it on my recommendations video, have been wanting to do a video solely on it. One of my favourite aspects of the story, was Tsukasa and Inori's relationship. I think it's such a sweet and genuine dynamic I feel should be highlighted, as it's not too often you have one quite this special. The anime is coming out in January, so if you guys don't pick this video for now, it will be the next video!

And that's it! I feel like there's a good spread of differing videos here, but I wanted to give the reins to you guys, as it's a video I'll work on at a more leisurely pace than the past three videos (and I intend on doing some streams leading up to Christmas, and a charity stream, too!) Looking forward to what you guys pick! Multiple choice is one, in case you really can't choose one!

Comments

It'd definitely be a unique one to work with compared to the other videos! I'll always get around to it, even if it doesn't get picked this time around 😁

Lines In Motion

I would love to see the Van Gogh video since it would be such a different subject to talk about. And I'm really curious what would come out of this video.
