Ichi the Witch video update

Hey all, so I’m deep into the Ichi the Witch script about Desscaras, and it’s honestly turning into one of my favourite essays I’ve written. (Maybe because I love her character so much, and I haven't done a character focused video since the begining of the channel).

However… And I'll say this in the least spoiler-y way possible, as I know some of you haven't read yet. Last weeks chapter teased something at the very end that has massive backstory potential for Desscaras, which means the manga might be about to give us some major emotional context for her (literally the exact thing my analysis has been circling). I wasn't expecting backstory in this arc, which is why I timed the video now. Just unfortunate timing all together really.

Rather than rush the video out and immediately be outdated, I’m thinking of holding this one until January, so I can weave in whatever the new chapters reveal. It’ll make the essay far stronger, and I’d rather give you the most complete take instead of a “before the lore drop” version.

In the meantime: the script is written, the visuals are planned. So, it really is just waiting to see what the current arc throws at us readers, for me to know how much my script needs to be updated.

This is one of the cons of covering a weekly series. In the time i'm writing and editing, potentially 4-5 chapters who be uploaded.

That is to say. It’s coming, and it’s going to be a very fun one, but I'm making the executive decision to delay it for the sake of a potentially stronger script.

In saying this, I do have a video idea planned in the meantime (along with the "Youtubers Recommend me Manga video that is still on schedule for this month)! I'll share this with you in the near future to keep you guys on your toes haha.

But yeah. I guess this is a lesson for future me whenever I cover weekly manga - be careful dummy that things can update whilst you're editing and writing.
