Impromptu New Office Tour!
Added 2021-01-28 02:37:04 +0000 UTCHi Physslers! It's 2021. Whoa. How are you all doing? I must say, the emotions of 2020 were a wild ride. But it's January so Levi, Hope, Laura and I are doing all the stereotypical things to get a fresh start - new short and long-term goals (eg. changing the world), new task-management systems, new .... 🥁 *drum roll* 🥁 ... OFFICE!!!
We're moving into a new office, and the fresh paint smell is still here! WE ARE SO EXCITED.
Anywho, these past couple weeks have been a blend of scary, and hopeful. My biggest reaction has been, as it always is, to keep asking questions. What do the events at the US Capitol mean for the future? How much power do big tech companies have to impact our democracy? How can science better inform us about truth, and disseminating truth?
As we plan the year, the physics 101 course is wrapping up (I'm thinking about what course I'd MAYBE like to make next. A conceptual relativity course perhaps?) We're thinking about what type of regular YouTube content we want to make (more lab tours? Building more stuff? More collaborations with cool people?)
I don't completely understand my role as a science YouTuber is in today's crazy world, except to keep making content that I believe in, and encouraging people, especially young people, to rigorously question the world and follow the evidence where they can. So that's what I'm gonna be doing! And I'm so grateful to y'all for helping me make that happen, and to have this community full of science-lovers where I can share more of my thoughts. So, thank you!
