Gravity question: do the "waves" of gravity travel through mass or around it, on a subatomic level? Let there be two atoms: one is heavy and eats too many french fries and drinks too much beer while sitting lazily on the couch watching baseball games and movies, the other atom is lighter having fewer protons and neutrons, why? I'm wondering which parts of a subatomic particle interact with gravity, and how? My imagination is trying to envision if gravity passes into, and through, something (mass), or does gravity pass around subatomic particles? If it passes around something, would that infer a reluctance for gravity to compress into surrounding "waves", hence transferring the reluctance into energy pushing into the mass? If gravity passes thru something, what part(s) of the subatomic particle is causing drag, and is there an idea of what would be the mechanism, does gravity affect all parts of the proton/neutron or specific parts? A gravity joke would suffice if there isn't a known/convenient answer for the layman.
