March Update!

A quick update of what's happening and what's coming soon:
- I'm still working on an NDA project that is very slow to get done and that's just going to be a LONG time before anyone sees it. But that's the nature of this business.
- I'm working on TWO super secret projects with Level Up Dice that you're all going to LOVE!
- I'm working on finishing a patron commission I started a while ago as it'll be the last I do for a while. (more on this below)
- I started the Skyrim map, as you can see by the image above of Riften. This is my "free time" project to allow me one of many personal projects. The Skyrim map will be a patron-only exclusive unless Bethesda decides to pay me for it and then it's free to patrons. :D
- I was interviewed by the lovely people at The Tome Show!
- I think my next personal map project will be for Valheim and I'll be recording it to add to the tutorials in hopes of showing how you can turn a program created map into a hand-drawn one.
- After that, I think I will redraw my Never Never Land map.
- I've been adding more VTT maps to the website & Roll20.
- My amazing assistant, Aras, has been making lots of new shirts, pillows, stickers, and more on my site!
- She has also been an absolute blessing with birthdays! If you've filled out the form, she's been the one maintaining it! If you're in a generous mood, visit the spreadsheet and get some birthday gifts for your fellow Ruebees!
- We're back to weekly giveaways on Discord (again, thanks to Aras)!
- I got a great idea for the VTT maps: map marker tokens! I'll be drawing up some fun tokens to add to your world/regional maps in VTT. Packs of tokens will be available on both my website and Roll20.
- I'm taking some time this summer to create my world building series of tutorials and I couldn't be more stoked!
- New Snappy Dice Trays are on hold until I can afford purchasing them again.
Regarding finances, COVID, & my new assistant: Like most people on Patreon, I've lost quite a bit of income but we're still managing. I still have to do the same amount of work regardless of the amount of patrons I have so the decision to take a cut in pay to hire an assistant was a tough one but I couldn't be happier about it! I get more time to focus on art and less fussing about other projects. She's taking on more work and I'm so relieved I could cry!
It was so very much needed and I think you'll all be pleasantly surprised with the amount of work that will happen once everything is caught up and running smoothly.
A note about "commercial" and "full price" map work and patron commissions: I have always wanted to just make maps for patrons at the Adventurer & up tiers for the cost of their pledge. However, I cannot pay my bills on that alone and it's why I've always had to take commercial/paid projects.
I want to do a few personal projects but once I'm caught up, paid map projects will be opened to patrons. If that ever gets finished, I'm considering holding contests and creating a map for the winner. But that's a ways off. I promise to let you all know when that changes.
