I was thinking about this episode for some reason, because even as a kid I thought it was out of nowhere that Hagrid asked Harry to be the savior of the broken the beaten and the damned, because, like... Harry's mixed-blood status really hadn't been a point of oppression for him at any point before this, nor was it after. His mother dealt with it, Hermione deals with it, but if Harry gets shit for anything it's for being Special or whatever. Also maybe it's just me but having a muggleborn mom doesn't feel super comparable to having a Giant mom, but what do I know neither Lily or Hagrid's mom are characters. Anyway Hagrid should be besties with Fleur so they can bond over having magical species in their bloodline because Fleur should be allowed to connect with people beyond who she ends up marrying but that's just me
