The apology discussion reminds me of some interview during...I think maybe book 6? Where she was asked "who would you invite to dinner" and she had the wild thing of "WELL, I know who is going to die, so I can't say just yet". And honestly I have doubts she had any deaths planned before she wrote them. ESPECIALLY for the battle of hogwarts
