Cranky is Donkey "Cranky" Kong Sr. His wife is Wrinkly Kong (The Old Lady who saves your game in DKC3). Cranky, is indeed the DK from the original arcade game. Donkey Kong Jr. is Cranky's son. He also is the tank top wearing ape featured in Super Mario Kart. He appears as a young adult in Mario Tennis on the N64. He originally appeared in Donkey Kong Jr. in the arcades. Donkey Kong with the red tie, the protagonist from DKC, is DK the 3rd. His dad is Donkey Kong Jr.
